A container loading check (CLC) is the final physical verification of your shipment before it begins its international journey. Our inspector is present at the factory or warehouse to supervise the entire loading process — from examining the empty container's condition to recording the seal number after the doors are closed.
The inspection begins with a container condition assessment: the inspector checks for structural damage, cleanliness, odors, moisture, and proper functioning of the door mechanism. During loading, they count all cartons against the packing list, verify shipping marks and labels, open randomly selected cartons to confirm contents match the packing list, and monitor the stacking arrangement to prevent crushing or shifting during transit.
A CLC protects against several common risks in international shipping: quantity shortages, product substitutions after a quality inspection, transit damage from improper loading, contaminated or damaged containers, and documentation errors that cause customs delays. The inspector records the container and seal numbers with timestamped photographs, providing a verified chain of custody from factory floor to sealed container.
Reports are delivered within 24 hours, including photos of the empty container, loading process, final arrangement, and sealed container.
The inspector examines the empty container for cleanliness, structural damage, holes, odors, and moisture. The container number and seal are recorded and photographed.
All cartons are counted against the packing list. Shipping marks, labels, barcodes, and carton conditions are verified for accuracy and completeness.
A random selection of cartons is opened to verify contents match the packing list — confirming product type, quantity per carton, and packaging quality.
The inspector monitors the entire loading process, ensuring goods are arranged safely, properly braced, and secured to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
Once loading is complete, the container is sealed in the inspector's presence. The seal number is recorded and a full photo report is delivered within 24 hours.
